Postgraduate Community
Postgraduate representatives in the 2004 SWS commented on the amount of work that they do in isolation and the lack of ‘community’ that they belong to. It appears that this situation has not changed; although it is anticipated that the new Graduate College will go some way to addressing this. Results from the PGR survey certainly highlighted the lack of a ‘research community’ as an area of concern amongst respondents and this was echoed by Social Science and Humanities research representatives who attended the PGR focus group.
